Nicolas Brown, DMD
Born and raised in Decatur, Alabama, Dr. Nick Brown grew up working in his father’s dental practice. He is a graduate of the University of Alabama, and the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Dentistry. Dr. Brown completed post-graduate training during an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency program at the Stratton VA Medical Center in Albany, NY. Here, his focus was on medically compromised patients, oral surgery, and advanced treatment planning. He returned home to Alabama and joined a private practice in Cullman where he practiced general dentistry for five years. In 2015, he joined the practice of Dr. Michael Meon, who has since retired, and went on to establish Dr. Nick Brown Dental Care to continue providing the best dental care to the community.
Dr. Brown lives in the Birmingham area with his wife, Emily, and their two sons, Cooper and Lincoln. He spends his free time working in the yard, playing tennis, attending community and sporting events, and enjoying time with family and friends. In addition to work and play, Dr. Brown is committed to dental volunteerism. He has participated in numerous programs and trips abroad to deliver dental care to underserved communities. He also spends many hours each year completing continuing-education courses, so he and his staff can offer the latest treatment developments and best practices to patients.
Office Manager
Cindi Spann
Cindi is originally from Winfield, AL, but now resides in Helena. She has practiced as a dental assistant for over 16 years. She has a keen eye for detail, which serves her well in the dental field, as well as outside the office as a photographer. Cindi ensures that every patient’s experience is comfortable, efficient, and successful. She now serves as the Office Manager and is responsible for keeping our office running smoothly and making sure all patients have the best visit possible. She spends most of her free time with her husband, Chris, and her two grown daughters and two stepsons. Her family is her world, and she enjoys working at Dr. Nick Brown Dental Care because of the family atmosphere.
DENTAL HYGIENIST
Amy Brown
Amy is originally from Birmingham and has been a hygienist for 28 years. She completed hygiene school in 1997 at the University of Texas, San Antonio and lived and worked in Texas for over 20 years. Fortunately for all of us, she made her way back to Birmingham to be closer to family. She joined Dr. Nick Brown Dental Care in September of 2022. Amy developed an interest in hygiene after watching her mother work as a hygienist. She started working and helping at dental offices at the age of 16. She loves helping people achieve oral health. Her vast knowledge and experience enable her to not only provide excellent treatment, but also educate her patients and help them to maintain teeth for a lifetime. In her free time, Amy enjoys working on her house, landscaping, and gardening. She also frequently visits her only son who is currently an Associate Professor at Northwestern University in Chicago.
